Place wrapped warmers along walls of the shipping box or between containers within the shipping box. Make sure to create space between shipped items and warmer with space filler or newspaper.

  • For shipping live crickets, simply place warmers in between layers of egg crate.
  • Do not allow warmer to get wet. This will cause the pack to become permanently inactive.
  • Preheating before usage is not necessary. The heat pack will heat up after 30-45 minutes if kept in an enclosed space like wrapped paper or placed inside the shipping box.
  • One warmer can generally raise approximately 10-12 degrees fahrenheit in a cubic foot insulated box. Multiple packs can be used if higher temperature is desired.
  • Warmers can reach its peak surface temperature of 115 degrees fahrenheit in approximately 4 hours, then slowly reduce to and maintain a surface temperature of 100 degrees for the remaining duration.
  • The heat pack may stop generating heat if the temperature inside the shipping box falls below 32 degrees.
  • The warmer will not work if wet. Do not open until ready to use.
  • Store unused heat packs in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
